Manhattan - New York July 1st 1986

from an American mother (Kirsten) and a Sardinian father (popular journalist Pietro Porcella). He received his baptesim on board of the tallship Amerigo Vespucci, during the celebrations of the 100 years of the Statue of Liberty. His mom was windsurfing till she was 9 month pregnant with Francisco.The water and the waves were already in his blood. Francisco  grew up in beautiful south of Sardinia where he became a promising soccer player top scorer of Cagliari Calcio junior team. Then in year 2000, together with his brother Niccolò, he convinced the parents to move to Maui in order to become a professional rider in the waves. That year , only 14th, he entered succesfully the PWA Aloha Classic and since then he has been the best Italian wave representative in the PWA World Tour with the sail number I-69. His palmares include the victory in the junior division of the 2004 edition of the restored Aloha Classic, and the wave events in all the competition he partecipated in Italy since 2005 ( Nissan Wave Master, Capo del Capo and Chia Classic). In this past 5 years he has being doing travel stories around the world, and been one of the top 10 waveriders  with great performances at the events in Cabo Verde,Tahiti, Fuerteventura, Maui and Sardinia. His travel stories in Indonesia, South Africa, Fiji, also drew attention on his explosive personality of . Francisco popularity has rapidly grow, after his recent performances at Jaws Maui and Tahiti, where his image has been often captured riding 50 foot waves or inside the powerfull barrell of Teahupoo.

Now he wants to push to the next level with  99!  Concur the best spots around the world and represent his country on every Wave Classic and sick competitions around the world.
